As the leaves change and the crisp autumn air rolls in, the season for cozy walks, pumpkin treats, and local festivals is finally here! While we gear up for all the fall fun, it is also the perfect time to make sure we are fully prepared to keep our four-legged family members safe, happy and thriving.
We have an exciting lineup of community events and life-saving workshops coming up this October, and we would love for you to join us!
What’s Happening This Fall
Certified Pet CPR & First Aid Course
Would you know what to do in a pet emergency? This hands-on, interactive 4-to-5-hour course covers essential skills like choking response, poisoning protocols, and cardiac event management.
- Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026
- Location: Massapequa Park
- Cost: $55 per person (Includes a 2-year certification and the full educational PowerPoint presentation)
- Perks: Limited to small groups to ensure personalized instruction. Two scheduled breaks are included!

Pet First Aid Workshop
Join Kat Leelum, owner of MadKat Dog Training and Certified ProPet First Aid Instructor, for this free hands-on workshop. Learn the basics for life-saving skills including choking response, poisoning protocols, and wound care. Participants will learn practical techniques such as applying muzzles and dressing injuries to gain the confidence needed to handle unexpected pet emergencies. (Participants will NOT receive a 2 year certification) – registration begins Sept 25th
