Hello Dog Lovers!

Let me “re”-introduce myself. Most of you know me as Katherine (Kat), your certified personal puppy and dog trainer right here on Long Island. With over 20 years of professional training experience, I can say without a doubt: I LOVE DOGS! In my years of work, I have never met a dog (or a human!) that cannot be trained.

At MadKat Dog Training, the philosophy is simple. We use reward-based, positive reinforcement programs tailored entirely to your specific needs. Instead of punishing a dog for making a mistake, we focus on celebrating and rewarding them when they do the right thing. Because all sessions take place in your own home with your active guidance, my true secret weapon is simple: I am training the human just as much as the dog!

 Exciting New Service: Professional Pet Sitting!

Starting August 5, 2026, MadKat is officially expanding to offer premier pet sitting services. Whether you are heading to work or out for a long day of fun, I am here to give your fur baby the attention they deserve. Services are fully customizable based on what you need and can include:

• Mid-day walks to stretch those legs.
• Backyard or indoor playtime to burn off energy.
• Training reinforcement during the visit (exclusive to existing training clients!).

The Details:

• Availability: Flexible morning, afternoon, and evening hours.
• Location: All care takes place safely inside your own home.
• Note: No overnight or weekend services are available at this time.

 Upcoming Pet CPR & First Aid Classes

• What to Expect: Come out for an amazing day of live music, delicious food trucks, and over 150 local vendors.
